Cream-handled Ikon knives from Haus

Cream-handled Ikon knives
The newest additions to the Ikon range of German precision-forged knives from Wüsthof sport a fashionable white handle.

Like all Wüsthof knives, the blade is fully forged from a single blank of high-carbon steel using laser and robot technology and then hand-finished to provide well-balanced, smooth-cutting knives with a full tang.

The triple-riveted ergonomic handle is made from Wüsthof's traditional synthetic material which, unlike the parallel line launched in December with Mozambique ebony handles, is dishwasher-safe.

The white line is also cheaper than the wood, with a starting RRP of £48 for the 9cm paring knife compared with £66 for the ebony model. The dearest item is the £101 23cm cook's knife.

Like the ebony range, the white-handled knives offer 22 separate options (including a Sanoku Oriental cook's knife, a straight meat fork, a sharpening steel, a salmon slicer and blades for steak, tomatoes, sausages, boning, filleting, bread, carving, peeling, and sandwiches) along with four knife sets and a six-piece knife block.
