Catermasters poaches Elior director to fill sales role
Contract caterer Catermasters has appointed Elior sales director Sara Senior as its new sales director.
At Elior, Senior was responsible for concession contracts within the sports stadia, heritage ad culture, and travel and retail sectors.
She replaces Ian Summers who has joined Graysons, the contract caterer backed by ex-Compass chairman Sir Francis Mackay, which recently won its first deal.
"Catermasters has a proven and respected track record in the catering services industry so I'm relishing the opportunity to work with the company," Senior said.
In April, Catermasters became embroiled in a war of words with former client Tesco after accusing it of failing to honour its commitments, something the retailer described as "nonsense".
Last month the Leamington-based caterer went carbon neutral at its headquarters, planting 187 trees in Somercombe Wood on the border of Somerset and Devon to offset its emissions.
Nigel Johnson, joint managing director of Catermasters, which caters for clients including the Williams Formula One team, Oxford University Press and Oxfam, said: "We depend on the land to give us the food we prepare, so it's important we look after it."
