Jill Bartlett wins Guardian deal
Contract caterer Jill Bartlett has added another media client to its books with a £4.5m deal to feed staff at Guardian News and Media's new headquarters.
Jill Bartlett, which last year struck a deal to caterer for Emap at Greater London House in Camden, will feed 1,300 staff at Kings Place in King's Cross, North London when the Guardian newspaper publisher moves in at Christmas.
Running initially for three years the £1.5m annual turnover contract, which carries the option to extend, will also see the caterer providing hospitality services also.
Sarah Walsh, head of facilities management at GNM, said: "We were impressed by their commitment to staff training and development and the focus on sustainable business practice across all aspects of their business."
Jill Bartlett founder Jill Bartlett said: "We are immensely proud to be working with GNM. They are a major addition to our client portfolio.
Sodexo's Directors Table runs the catering service at the Guardian's current London base.
The tender was conducted by foodservice consultants Tricon.
