Restaurant reviewer hopes for good out of evil in south-west London
Matthew Norman from the Guardian visits Ma Cuisine in South-west London's Barnes and concludes "out of evil, there cometh good".
Norman finds the eaterie's décor creates an aura of an old ITV comedy set and the enticing menu in reality a huge disappointment.
Although the prices at Ma Cuisine, by London standards, are reasonable, the Guardian critic is not a fan and bemoans the service and food on offer.
Terry Durrack finds inventive, modern, vegetarian cooking at London's Saf, which is also fun to eat.
Durrack is amazed by the energy of the staff and finds the "labour-intensive" food good value but the prices for wine "punitive".
