Geronimo Inns snaps up former Mitchells pub for £2m

Geronimo Inns has snapped up a former Mitchells & Butlers pub in Shepherd's Bush, London, for approximately £2m.

The Eagle, a freehold site which was officially purchased last week, will now be closed for a refurbishment until 1 September, when its will be unveiled as a Geronimo pub.

Speaking to Caterersearch Geronimo Inns chief executive Rupert Clevely said:

"It is a site I have always wanted. It has been allowed to slip down due to lack of investment but we are looking forward to turning this into a typical Geronimo pub like the Builder's Arms or the Phoenix."

The Eagle is Geronimo's 22nd pub.

It has 11 sites north of the river in London, three south of the Thames, three in Home Counties and four at various terminals in Heathrow airport and St Pancras station.

Davis Coffer Lyons acted on behalf of Geronimo to buy the freehold on the Eagle.
