Samsung's Superlite semi-commercial microwave oven has been designed as a low-cost bridge between light-duty domestic models and larger but pricier commercial ovens.

The CM1039K is well suited to self-service settings, pubs and small cafés where microwaves are not the main source of cooking. 

The oven, which measures 297mm x 517mm x 412mm and plugs straight into a standard 13amp socket, has a power output of 1,000W.

It has a sturdy, black metal outer cabinet; large, easy-to-use manual dial controls for power and timer settings; a pull-open door with large display window; and a stainless-steel interior.

The appliance offers five power levels, three cook levels - from 500W to 1,000W - and two defrost settings. It comes complete with a one-year parts and labour warranty.

The Samsung line-up, available through Apuro, is designed to provide 35% more usable cavity space than comparable machines and to cover all requirements.

It includes two 1,100W light-duty models: the 20-programme touch-control CM1059 and the manual dial control CM1069; two 1,300W medium-duty ovens: the 30-programme touch-control CM1329 and the manual CM1319; two 1,600W heavy-duty machines: the CM1629 and manual CM1619; and two super-heavy-duty 1,850W machines: the programmable CM1929 and the manual CM1919.
