Rising Star Leisure plans to expand portfolio
Bar and restaurant operator Rising Star Leisure plans to expand its portfolio with the opening of up to three new London sites in the coming year, Caterersearch can reveal.
The company, which is to launch its fourth venue Broome & Delancey in Battersea, south west London, in September, said that under the current economic climate the "opportunities are there" to acquire new sites.
"We are experiencing a squeeze on margins but are confident that we can continue to run a profitable business," said managing director Steve Kelly.
"In addition to a new site in Battersea, we're in talks to launch two further sites including a cocktail bar in central London."
The group's forthcoming venture, Broome & Delancey, will be housed in a 3,500sq ft site on Battersea Rise comprising a champagne bar and two dining rooms seating 74 as well as an al fresco terrace.
It will be a modern, all-day brasserie and rotisserie serving a menu of classic American and European dishes.
Head chef will be Wyatt Shevloff, former executive chef of the All Star Lanes group, with front-of-house overseen by Paul Williamson from Soho House.
Rising Star Leisure currently operates three outlets in south London with The Establishment in Parsons Green, Iniquity in Battersea and The People's Republic in Clapham.
