Catey guests raise £7,600 for Springboard

Guests at Tuesday night's Cateys raised £7,600 for hospitality charity Springboard to aid its work promoting careers in hospitality.

The money raised topped off a big night for Springboard, which also saw chief executive Anne Pierce receiving the Special award for her significant contribution to the industry.

More than 1,000 of hospitality's most important decision makers contributed to Springboard, Caterer's chosen charity for the 25th Cateys which were held at London's Grosvenor House.

Springboard today unveiled Inspire, its guide for hotel employers looking to develop a work experience programme.

It also celebrates its 18th birthday on 16 July with a major fundraising event at London's Royal Lancaster hotel and it is looking for volunteers to help host the evening.

Anyone interested in volunteering can contact Springboard events manager Gabriele Burgath on gabrieleb@springboarduk.org.uk
