Chicago Rock Café owner interested in Regent Inns
Luminar has dismissed reports it is to make a bid for struggling bar operator Regent Inns, while conceding 3D entertainment, a company it holds a 49% stake in, might.
Over the weekend nightclub owner Luminar was linked with a bid for Regent Inns, which owns Walkabout.
Although Luminar issued a statement this morning saying it had not made any approach, nor was it in discussions for Regent Inns, it has since conceded 3D Entertainment is keen on a deal.
Luminar formed 3D Entertainment in 2006 to divorce its bar brands Chicago Rock Café and Jumpin Jaks from its core nightclub proposition after failing to find a trade buyer.
It is currently looking to dispose of its 49% stake in 3D Entertainment. The remaining shares in the company are held by the management team and property company Prestbury.
