Spanish Foods launches young chef competition
Spanish Foods has launched a competition offering a young chef the chance to win a three-day stage at Ferran Adrià's three-Michelin-starred restaurant El Bulli.
The Spanish Young Chef of the Year competition, which is open to students between the age of 17 and 23, aims to promote the use of Spanish ingredients in the catering industry.
Entrants are expected to create a three-course meal using a range of ingredients including raspberries, Picota cherries and persimmon and are encouraged to also make use of other Spanish produce.
The deadline for entrants is 10 October, with a final cook-off between eight finalists taking place in London in November. For more information and entry packs visit www.foodsfromspain.co.uk.
