STR Global: South-western hotel performance in January 2008

Hotels in the South West saw revenue per available room (revpar) decline by 2.1% during the month of January.

Revpar was £44.07 in January 2008, compared with £45 in the corresponding month of 2007, according to figures from hospitality research company STR Global.

Occupancy dropped by 2.1 percentage points to 56.6%, while average room rate grew by 1.6% to £77.90, compared with £76.65 in January 2008.
