Edinburgh's Radisson SAS and London's Bonnington up for sale
Edinburgh's Radisson SAS hotel and London's Bonnington hotel have both been put up for sale by privately-owned UK property company WG Mitchell.
According to a source close to the company, the sale of the Rezidor-operated Bonnington hotel in Russell Square is being sought to free up cash for other investments.
The source, quoted in the Scotsman, said WG Mitchell is not as keen on selling the 238-bedroom Radisson on the city's Royal Mile, also operated by Rezidor, as it is the Bonnington, but will consider a bid if the offer is sufficiently high.
WG Mitchell acquired the Radisson SAS hotel in Edinburgh in 2005 for £52.5m.
The property company has hired the property agents CB Richard Ellis Hotels to advise on the Bonnington sale, but is not believed to have hired advisers for the Edinburgh property as yet.
