Hotels in the North-west saw revenue per available room (revpar) fall by 12.05% in the week ending 5 October, 2008, according to figures from hospitality research company STR Global.
Revpar was £56.12, compared with £63.81 in the equivalent week of 2007.
Occupancy fell by 3.7 percentage points to 74.33% while average room rate dropped by 7.68% to £75.50, compared with £81.77 in the corresponding week of 2007.
