Robin Hutson resigns as director of Soho House
Robin Hutson has resigned as a director of private members club group Soho House after 13 years on the board, Caterersearch can reveal.
Hutson, the founder of boutique hotel chain Hotel du Vin, said he wanted to pursue other opportunities and that now was a good time to leave, as the dust had settled on the sale of the group to entrepreneur Richard Caring earlier this year.
Hutson confirmed that he will still be working with Soho House on its Miami project for the next year, but as an outside contactor.
Caring invested £105m to buy a majority stake in Soho House, which has 15,000 members worldwide, in January.
He is understood to have bought out 28 minority investors including television stars Ant and Dec, former BBC chairman Gavyn Davies, and restaurateur Hani Farsi.
Soho House founder Nick Jones boosted his stake in the business from about 13% to 20% and stayed on as chief executive.
