Malmaison and Hotel du Vin wine and spirits director Henri Chapon is to leave the boutique hotel group at the end of the month.

Bruce McKendrick, managing director of the group, said: “I would personally like to thank Henri for his support and service and wish him every success for the future.”

Regional operations director Mike Warren will oversee the bar, bistro, sommeliers, wine dinners and Ecole du Vin functions within Hotel du Vin properties until further notice.

At Malmaison, group operations director Scott Harper will oversee brasserie, bars and sommeliers.
