Gordon Ramsay cuts Foxtrot Oscar opening hours

Gordon Ramsay has closed restaurant Foxtrot Oscar in London's Chelsea for two days a week and two further evenings.

The move has sparked rumours that the neighbourhood bistro could be shut down after Ramsay ordered it to close on Mondays and Tuesdays, as well as in the evenings on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Foxtrot Oscar is located in London's Royal Hospital Road in Chelsea, a stone's throw away from Ramsay's eponymous three-Michelin-starred restaurant.

Trading since 1980, the neighbourhood bistro re-opened under the Gordon Ramsay Holdings' banner in January after the group acquired it from former proprietor Michael Proudlock.

Critics gave the reopened Foxtrot Oscar a frosty reception, with the Sunday Times' AA Gill labelling its interiors "a bland, tacky makeover in several subtle shades of cold corpse" and describing the menu as a collection of "safe and unexciting constructions".

A regular diner told the Daily Mail that Ramsay's move to close the restaurant was "very odd and rather upsetting".

"It's a lovely restaurant but no one knows whether it has a future," the diner said. "We have been told that it is being closed for six shifts a week, which is a lot, especially in the run-up to Christmas."

Separately reports emerged over the weekend accusing Gordon Ramsay of an extramarital affair with a "professional mistress".

The News of the World](http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/news/83126/Cheat-n-two-veg.html) alleged that Ramsay has been involved in a seven-year relationship with Sarah Symonds.
