Lyons Seafoods' latest range of cold-water prawns from Canada are the first to be certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) in the UK, according to the company.

Lyons Seafoods has worked for more than two years with its suppliers to achieve MSC status, which is in line with its goal to become a 100% sustainable shellfish business and to minimise its environmental impact.

Lyons also offers MSC-certified Patagonian scallops and it launched organic prawns in 2001. The cold-water prawns are supplied frozen, cooked and peeled.
