Sodexo appoints new head of legal team for UK and Ireland

Foodservice and facilities management company Sodexo has appointed Gareth John, previously with Transport for London (TFL), to head up its legal team in the UK and Ireland.

John, who took up his position this month, had been director of legal and compliance at TFL since 2005 and managed a team of 30 lawyers there.

Based at Sodexo's London offices and reporting to finance director Aidan Connolly, John will be responsible for the management and direction of the company's legal team and affairs.

Connolly said: "We are delighted that someone with Gareth's talent and experience has joined us, I am sure he will be a major asset in tackling the challenges ahead for our business."
