Critics find Conran's new restaurant ‘dead sexy'

Terence Conran's new restaurant venture Boundary has been dubbed as "dead sexy" by the Evening Standard's David Sexton.

Boundary is Conran's first new private venture since the opening of Bibendum in 1987, and is a joint undertaking with his wife Vicki and his new business partner, Peter Prescott, who was previously operations director of the Conran Group.

Sexton describes Boundary as "the supreme palais de Terence", and the "ideal of a restaurant he's been pursuing all these years".

Elsewhere the Metro's Marina O'Loughlin was impressed with The Double Club in Angel, dubbing it as an "intriguing, stimulating and challenging place".

The place is designed by artist Carsten Höller, best known in London for the Tate with the food described as a "head-on collision" with East-West food.

Loughlin refers to the more formal restaurant features original pieces by artists from Warhol to Moke the Painter and the place being populated by "impossibly beautiful, statuesque women, chic-geeky boys, and handsome Sapeurs."
