AA names new restaurant guide editor

Andrew Turvil has joined the AA as editor of its restaurant guide as the organisation faces a defamation action from former hotel inspector Jayne Wyatt.

Wyatt won her case for unfair dismissal against the organisation last year and is now pursuing the action against her former employers.

The 43-year old was editor of the Consumers' Association's Which? Pub Guide from 2000 to 2005 and also became editor of the Good Food Guide

Turvil said: "I have spent my professional career writing about restaurants, eating good and bad meals, and I have the utmost respect for people who choose to put themselves in the heat of the kitchen."

The AA announced 17 new three-rosette rated restaurants early this month and one new four-rosette restaurant.
