Côte to open sixth London brasserie
Côte, the French brasserie concept launched by Andy Bassadone and Chris Benians, the former management team of Strada, is to open its sixth site.
The latest site, at Hay's Galleria near London Bridge, follows restaurants in Richmond, Soho, Kensington, Covent Garden and the launch site in Wimbledon Village, which opened in August 2007.
Bassadone and Benians sold Italian pizza chain Strada to restaurant group Tragus in a deal worth £140m in June 2007. The launch of Côte was backed by Caprice Holdings owner Richard Caring.
Stuart Darlington, partner for restaurant property at law firm Davenport Lyons, advised on the acquisition of the new premises.
"We are delighted to assist Côte in the purchase of this new restaurant in one of the premier retail and leisure sites in the capital," he said. "Côte is a rapidly growing business, and this represents a great opportunity for expansion into a new and very popular part of the capital."
