Marston's names new group finance director

Brewer and pub operator Marston's today announced the appointment of Andrew Andrea as its new group finance director.

Andrea, who joined Marston's in 2002, is currently commercial director for both Marston's Pub Company and Marston's Beer Company. Previous experience includes stints at Price Waterhouse (as the accountancy firm was known at the time), Guinness and Bass Brewers.

The 39-year old takes up his new role on March 31, replacing Paul Inglett who is leaving the company after 17 years to "pursue other opportunities". Inglett will remain at Marston's until the publication of the group's interim results in May to help the handover to Andrea.

Ralph Findlay, chief executive of Marston's, said: "I am delighted to welcome Andrew to the board of Marston's. His appointment is a good example of our strength in depth across the business.

"Andrew has proved himself across a range of disciplines, not only in finance and I know he will make an important contribution to the long term growth of the company."
