Pizza Express founder's hotel up for sale
The Great Northern hotel in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, which is owned by the founder of Pizza Express, has been placed up for sale by administrators.
The 35-bedroom Victorian hotel was bought by Peter Boizot in April 1994 and was placed into administration earlier this month.
Offers in excess of £2.6m for the freehold building and business are now being sought.
The hotel, which is located near to the railway station, is seeking final bids before Monday 16th March.
Tim Gooding of Christie + Co, which is handling the sale, said: "The Great Northern Hotel is a Peterborough landmark and is held in great affection locally.
"There has been a significant amount of interest expressed already and we are hopeful of generating a number of bids for this established business."
The administrators are Tenon Recovery.
