A further six hotels that were formerly managed by the collapsed Real Hotel Company are up for sale.

EjendomsInvest, the private Danish fund which owns the six hotels that have a combined freehold value of £20m, has now put them on the market.

The hotels, which are spread across the Midlands and the North, include three freehold opportunities, two of which are no longer trading — the 59-bedroom Stop Inn Hull, in East Riding of Yorkshire; the 55-bedroom Stop Inn Skelmersdale, in Lancashire; plus the 54-bedroom Stop Inn Redditch, in Worcestershire.

The other three properties are available on a new lease or under management contract. They are the 90-bedroom Stop Inn, near Darlington, North Yorkshire; the 94-bedroom Quality Hotel in Loughborough, Leicestershire; and the 154-bedroom Quality Hotel in Walsall.

Jeremy Jones, director at Christie + Co which is handling the sale, said: “The non- trading hotels in Hull, Redditch and Skelmersdale offer great opportunities for hoteliers or developers to acquire substantial freehold sites.

“The trading hotels offer a great opportunity for an operator to take a lease or management contract on a premium free deal. We have already received a number of enquiries from a variety of interested parties.”

The Real Hotel Company collapsed into administration in January this year.
