Jamie Oliver to open second Recipease in Brighton
Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is to open the second outlet of his Recipease food and kitchen emporium in Brighton.
The chef, whose wife last week gave birth to his third daughter Petal Blossom Rainbow, opened a branch of his Jamie's Italian casual dining restaurant in the city in March.
The new store will be the second in the country, joining one in London's Battersea, giving people the chance to order ingredients and come and make dishes under the guidance of chefs, as well as picking up meals to take home.
The shop will also sell Jamie Oliver-branded kitchenware and will offer cookery lessons to those wanting to improve their culinary skills.
At the launch of the first Recipease in January, Oliver said he had wanted to create something like this for a long time to make people want to cook.
"I really believe that if the produce and product is exceptional and good value, then people will find this service dead handy."
Last week was an eventful one for Oliver, who, as well as celebrating the birth of his third daughter, also cooked for world leaders at the G20 summit.
- Last year, former Le Gavroche head chef Thierry Laborde, together with business partner Natalie Richmond, launched a similar concept, The Kitchen, in south London. Customers visiting The Kitchen, get the chance to create their own restaurant-quality meals to take home.
