Heartstone Inns buys fifth site
Heartstone Inns, the pub company that launched in 2007, has picked up its fifth site, taking the freehold on the Bun Penny in Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire from Punch Taverns.
The two-storey property features a 40-seat public bar and multi-sectioned dining areas including an 80-seat conservatory and a 60-seat beer garden and patio.
The pub joins a stable that already includes the Butchers Arms in Gloucestershire; the Cricketers in Dorset; and the Diggers Rest and the Hare & Hounds in Devon.
James Birch, co-founder and managing director of Heartstone Inns, said: "We are delighted to have been able to expand our trading area into Hampshire with the acquisition of such a good site."
Spencer Mann from property agent Christie & Co, which represented Punch, said: "We are delighted to have been able to help Heartstone Inns continue its expansion with the acquisition of this well-located, traditional pub, which the company plans to close, refurbish and then re-open."
