Mitie wins £2.5m deal at London's Irish Club
Facilities management (FM) company Mitie has signed a five-year deal worth £2.5m in total turnover to provide catering and front-of-house services at London's re-opened Irish Club.
Mitie's Ingredients foodservice division will oversee the food and drink offer at the club at Blackfriars, where the FM group will provide cleaning services also. In total 12 Mitie staff will work across the contract.
Charles Vernon, executive manager for the Irish Club said: "The Irish Club is excited by this new venture with Mitie and whilst there will be new and innovative changes to the menu the club's Irish roots remain a strong influence in the food served."
Robin Hay, managing director of Ingredients, said: "We are delighted to bring our services to the Irish Club and be a part of the club's long tradition as an outstanding venue for socialising and high quality food."
Membership of the Irish Club is open to those of Irish origin by birth or descent, or the spouses of those who are.
Last autumn Mitie landed its biggest catering contract to date in an estimated £30m total turnover deal with insurer Standard Life.
