London Eye to serve dishes from leading chefs during restaurant festival
Leading chefs will be treating diners to meals on board the London Eye as part of the London Restaurant Festival this October.
The pods, which can accommodate up to 10 diners, are being auctioned off each night of the festival, which runs from 8 October to 13 October.
Vineet Bhatia, chef proprietor of Rasoi Vineet Bhatia, told information services provider Bloomberg: "We'll be cooking on the ground and as the pod comes round, we'll serve a different course."
The final line up of chefs has not yet been confirmed but Francesco Mazzei, executive chef and patron of Broadgate's L'Anima restaurant, will be representing Italian cuisine.
Last week Caterer also revealed that former three Michelin-starred chef Pierre Koffman will be recreating La Tante Claire as an 80-cover pop-up restaurant on the roof of Selfridges as part of the festival (16 July).
Demand for the restaurant, which will also enlist the services of Michelin-starred chefs Eric Chavot, Tom Aikens and Tom Kitchin, is reportedly so high that the temporary eatery is due to run for at least two weeks.
