Catering Academy boosts annual turnover by one third
Catering Academy growth continues despite the downturn with a turnover of £20m anticipated for 2009.
Formed in 2004, Catering Academy has enjoyed consistent year-on-year increases with a 33% spike on 2008's figures.
Kevin Cannon, company director, said: "The success of the company's dynamic service stems from the loyalty and quality of our team members and our continual commitment to the use of fresh food sourced from our network of local suppliers.
"The growth of the business has been supported by the introduction of two new board directors, Phil Smith and Denise Marks in 2008, allowing us to keep senior management close to our clients and bolster our infrastructure thus improving the overall service offering of Catering Academy."
Operating from four sites in Warrington, Hamilton, Tamworth and Oxford, the company aims to provide a ‘personally-tailored catering service' across both commercial and public sectors.
It provides ‘local services from local offices', backed up by a national resource and support base.
Catering Academy has won 12 new significant contract wins this year, across the business, healthcare and education sectors including:
- The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama
- Cotswold Council
- Stockton Riverside College (incorporating the new Bede College)
- Cheshire Police head quarters
- University of Manchester UMIC Site
- Culcheth High School
- The University of Bolton
- South Lanarkshire College
