Zoe Jenkins to be GM at Coworth Park hotel
Zoe Jenkins is to become the general manager of Coworth Park, the Dorchester Collection's new country house estate and spa in Berkshire, which is due to open in summer 2010.
For the past six months Jenkins, who was previously food and beverage director at the Dorchester, London, has been overseeing the pre-opening of the project as director of operations.
Before joining the Dorchester 15 years ago, Jenkins worked in conference and banqueting at several other London hotels including the Inter-Continental Hyde Park, the Hyde Park Hotel and the Park Lane hotel.
Coworth Park is situated within 240 acres of mature parkland, close to Windsor Great Park and Wentworth Golf Course.
Incorporating an eco-luxury spa with 10 treatment rooms and swimming pool, the property includes converted stables and cottages, two polo fields and an equestrian centre stabling 40 horses. John Campbell is the hotel's executive chef and head of food and beverage.
Coworth Park is one of two new hotel openings in the UK next year from the Dorchester Collection, which currently has seven hotels worldwide including Le Meurice in Paris and The Beverley Hills Hotels in California. The other - the 50-bedroom 45 Park Lane in London - will open at the end of 2010.
"Dorchester Collection is definitely in growth mode and ultimately I would like us to have 15 hotels by 2015," said the company's chief executive, Christopher Cowdray.
