Eurest signs £200m-a-year FM contract with Shell
Compass Group's Eurest has signed a facilities management (FM) contract with global energy and petrochemicals company, Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell) worth in excess of £200m annually.
The international contract extension, one of the largest of its kind, will see Eurest provide hard and soft services to Shell sites across the USA, Canada and Latin America. As a result of the new deal, Shell will reduce the number of FM contractors in the Americas from 150 down to one.
Eurest Services will continue to provide a broad array of services including catering, vending, cleaning, reception, mechanical services and electrical services at a variety of sites including headquarters, refineries and mines.
This extended deal with Shell across the Americas expands the existing international contract in the UK and Europe which begain in 2007 and already accounts for approximately £100m of annual revenue.
The announcement of this Americas extension follows the news earlier in the year of a prestigious win at the European FM Awards, where Eurest won the "Partners Across Borders" category with Shell. The award recognises excellence in delivering facilities management to an organisation located in more than one European country.
