Latest NewsFour Seasons hotel sets world record in new Michelin Hong Kong guide(26 November 2009 13:13)The Four Seasons hotel in Hong Kong has become the only hotel in the world to house two three-Michelin-starred restaurants after its French eaterie Caprice was handed the top accolade in the latest guide to Hong Kong and Macau. In total, Michelin has awarded 26 restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau with new stars including five restaurants with two stars. They are: Petrus (Shagri-La Hotel); Fook Lam Moon (Wan Chai); Ming Court; and Tim’s Kitchen in Hong Kong; as well as Zi Yat Heen in Macau. Article continues below
Twenty restaurants celebrated their first Michelin star, including 16 in Hong Kong and four in Macau. The second Michelin guide to Hong Kong and Macau will be published in English and Chinese and is released today (26 November) in China and will be on sale from early February in Europe. Michelin now publishes 24 guides covering 23 countries in Europe, the USA and Asia. Earlier this month, Tokyo retained its crown as the world’s most Michelin-starred city, with more starred establishments than Paris, London and New York combined. The Japanese capital eclipsed Paris as the city with the most three-starred restaurants.
