2009 Excellence in Food & Drink Awards winners announced
Brakes has scooped the top prize in the 2009 Caterer and Hotelkeeper Excellence in Food & Drink Awards announced at London's Dorchester hotel.
Judges gave the coveted Gold Award to company's Blacksticks Blue Cheese & Walnut Soufflé which they praised for its "fabulous taste and texture" and "great visual appeal", concluding that it would be "a delicious option on any gastro pub menu".
The Gold Award winner was chosen from the 15 category winners, already deemed to have delivered that bit extra in terms of taste, appearance and usability in their respective categories.
