Failed asylum seeker arrested at Antony Worrall Thompson restaurant

A failed asylum seeker has been arrested at Antony Worrall Thompson'sKew Grill restaurant in south west London.

A 33-year-old Algerian man was arrested by UK Border Agency (UKBA) officers at the Kew Green eatery on Tuesday, according to the Richmond Twickenham Times](http://www.richmondandtwickenhamtimes.com).

The UKBA said it is thought he presented a counterfeit French passport to get the job.

Worrall Thompson's business has been warned it faces a fine if it can't prove the correct checks were carried out prior to employment.

A second man was also arrested at the Pizza and Kebab House in nearby Twickenham on the same day. It is alleged that the 30-year-old Pakistani's visa had expired.

Both men have been given immigration bail while the UKBA works to get travel documents to remove them.
