Gillian Thomson to quit as managing director of Company of Cooks
Gillian Thomson is to leave her position as managing director of Company of Cooks after only seven months in the job. The news was revealed by Harden's yesterday on Twitter.
Thomson had previously worked as head of operations at Gordon Ramsay Holdings (GRH), but left the group in May 2009 after eight years.
She went on to join contract caterer Company of Cooks as managing director last July.
Mike Lucy, chief executive and founder of Company of Cooks released a statement today which said that "both parties agreed that it just wasn't working."
Thomson is expected to leave within the next month.
In separate news, Company of Cooks has appointed the former three-Michelin-starred chef patron of the famous La Tante Claire restaurant as a consultant.
Pierre Koffmann will work with Henry Harris, a consultant at the company for several years, across the groups's operations. The contract is for an initial period of three years.
Company of Cooks runs the catering operations at a number of London visitor attractions including Greenwich Park, the Imperial War Museum and Kensington Gardens. Most recently it was awarded a £52m to oversee the food and beverage service at London's Royal Opera House.
