Edinburgh's Royal High School to become hotel, restaurant and art gallery
The historic Royal High School in Edinburgh is to be redeveloped as a hotel with restaurant, café and public arts gallery.
Award-winning architect Gareth Hoskins has been announced as the designer of the £35m scheme which will transform the A-listed building on Calton Hill.
Hoskins, who is also designing Donald Trump's controversial £1b golf course development - which includes a five-star, 450-bedroom hotel - on the Aberdeenshire coast, will work with client Duddingston House Properties on the Royal High School.
Details of the development are to be released later this month by Edinburgh Council.
