Restaurant Associates to cater at three Aon sites
Restaurant Associates, Compass Group's executive dining division has seen off its rivals to secure £3m of business at three sites of investment firm Aon.
The new three-year contract at two London sites and offices in Farnborough, Hampshire, was previously split between Elior's Avenance and Compass' Restaurant Associates and Eurest operating arms.
While there was a chance the contract could have remained divided between operators, it was Restaurant Associates that scooped the lot.
An industry source told Caterer: "Restaurant Associates have a formula that's very appealing to clients, as long as they get the numbers right. And in this case it was a relatively low risk selection as they were effectively the incumbents, with Compass operating two of the sites.
Other contract caterers in the running for the contract included independents Lexington, Harbour & Jones and BaxterStorey, which it is understood came a close second.
Restaurant Associates will provide hospitality services all sites. In addition the caterer will operate a café at the Devonshire Square offices and the main focus will be on staff catering at the site in Farnborough.
