Eight Chicago Rock Café venues up for sale
Property agent Colliers CRE is to market eight Chicago Rock Café venues and two other sites owned by 3D Entertainment, following the bar operator's collapse into administration.
The eight Chicago Rock Café sites are in Banbury, Chichester, Colchester, Epsom, Grimsby, Lincoln, Maidenhead and Middlesbrough.
An Archaos site in Glasgow and Kestral Xs unit in Cumbernauld are also up for sale.
3DE, which was spun out of nightclub operator Luminar in 2007 (which retained a 49% stake) called in the administrators at the end of last month.
US private equity firm Sun Capital Partners subsequently bought 31 of 3DE's 50 venue, saying it had secured 730 jobs.
Meanwhile respected analyst Mark Brumby indicated this morning that rumours were circulating of a venture capital firm running the rule over Luminar itself. The company - the UK's largest nightclub operator - has not responded to Caterersearch.com‘s requests for a comment.
Luminar's shares have lost more than 95% of their value since 2007 but have put on 10p to 36p in the last week.
