The fire that affected several bars and restaurants in Shoreditch

Story of the week: A massive fire broke out in a Shoreditch office block which houses a number of bars and restaurants yesterday morning.

Owner of two bars affected by the fire, Jonathan Downey, told Caterer it won’t be back in business for at least 18 months. 

A dozen of France's most renowned chefs, led by Alain Ducasse and Joël Robuchon, have joined forces to set up 'Cuisine de France’, an initiative designed to increase the standing of French cuisine in the world.
