Fat Americans reduce Jamie Oliver to tears
Jamie Oliver was reduced to tears while filming a new show in the US when locals told him not to preach over fatty food.
Oliver's new show saw him go to Huntington, West Virginia, in a bid to help the world's fattest schoolchildren, following on from his efforts to improve school meals in the UK.
Huntington was recently named by the Centres for Disease Control as the least healthy city in the least healthy state of America.
The series for US network ABC recorded Oliver's shock at the fact that a local school served children pizza and chocolate milk for breakfast.
He was later forced to issue an apology to residents after a newspaper quoted him as suggesting that the US' obesity epidemic might be due to ignorance. During the apology he broke down in tears, saying: "They don't understand me. They don't know why I'm here!"
