Snow fails to dampen sales at Domino's Pizza
Pizza delivery giant Domino's is expected to reveal an 11% boost in like-for-like sales for the first six weeks of the year in a trading statement ahead of its annual general meeting on Tuesday.
Although the snow hampered deliveries from some stores, the overall effect was positive as the cold weather encouraged people to stay at home and order a pizza.
The group, which has benefited from marketing initiatives such as Two for Tuesday promotions and sponsoring Britain's Got Talent on ITV, is expected to enjoy a surge in sales during the coming World Cup.
