Sodexo keeps a tight focus on sustainability
Sodexo continues to stress the importance of sustainability, following the publication of its fifth annual corporate citizenship report.
The report, which this year focuses on the company's recently-introduced ‘Better Tomorrow Plan' - the firm's sustainability strategy to 2020 - highlights the role that corporate citizenship plays in the company's culture.
The plan aims to consolidate corporate citizenship efforts across operations by combining values and ethical principles, specific sustainability commitments and an assurance to engage with stakeholders.
Thomas Jelley, Sodexo corporate citizenship manager, said: "Throughout the business, I see examples of our people going the extra mile every day and much of what they have achieved this year is featured in this report."
Sodexo's commitments to sustainable development that underpin the ‘Better Tomorrow Plan', including health, nutrition and well-being, local community development and Sodexo's worldwide STOP Hunger campaign are emphasised in the report.
In addition it outlines the contract caterer's commitments to environmental performance in the supply chain and at Sodexo sites, and its commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace through its award-winning Spirit of Inclusion training programme.
