Loungers to spend £500,000 to refit new venue

Food-led café/bar chain Loungers has revealed plan to spend £500,000 converting a former Woolworths store in Bournemouth into its latest site.

The new venue, to be called Ludo Lounge, is expected to open in early July with the creation of 20 new jobs.

Alex Reilley, managing director of the firm, said that he expected the new Lounge to hit a turnover of around £800,000 a year within the next two to three years.

The news comes as Alex Reilley also announced an acceleration of Loungers' growth plans. The group, which already has 13 Lounges across the South West and Wales, is targeting 40 sites by 2013.
