Catering firm Absolute Taste opens its first restaurant, in Harvey Nichols
Events and catering company Absolute Taste has launched its first restaurant at London department store Harvey Nichols.
Located on the fifth floor, Absolute Taste at Harvey Nichols is the company's second operation in the department store, after its ground-floor café DetoxRetox, and will serve breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, with a special focus on British produce.
The new opening is the first restaurant from the company, which operates Absolute Taste Inflight, Gordon Ramsay by Absolute Taste and four cafés, plus its events and catering arm, and in 2007 teamed up with Ramsay to buy La Tante Marie cookery school.
Owner Lyndy Redding told Caterersearch that, while there are no definite plans, there is a possibility that more restaurants will follow.
"We are concentrating all our efforts on Harvey Nichols at the moment, and there is nothing in the pipeline, but we wouldn't rule out the possibility of more branded restaurants opening in the future," she said.
