Brakes scoops 12 awards and top prize from British Frozen Food Federation

http://www.bfff.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">Brakes ](http://www.brake.co.uk/)collected the highest tally of awards overall, including the coveted Catering Product of the Year, at the [British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) awards gala dinner held at London's Park Lane Hilton earlier this month.

The company's Smoked Haddock & Pea Risotto scooped the main award, having already taken gold in the Best New Main Course/Meal Centre category. Besides these, Brakes won four more gold, four silver and two bronze awards in starter, vegetarian, multi-portion and bakery categories, taking its tally to 12. Products from across the Brakes Group of specialist businesses were recognised with Creative Foods, Brakes' specialist producer of recipe dishes, La Boulangerie, the group's bread and pâtisserie specialist and Brakes branded products all winning accolades.

The products are judged by representatives of the Craft Guild of Chefs who look for innovative ideas in recipe formulation and preparation functionality as well as product sector insight.
