JD Wetherspoon to open 12 new pubs in July

JD Wetherspoon](http://www.caterersearch.com/A-Z/CompaniesLanding/224/696/Page1.htm) has announced that it will open 12 new pubs in July.

The firm is investing over £12.5 million on the new outlets and creating 550 full and part-time jobs.

The pubs are located in Blackpool, Aylesbury, Otley, Newbury, Nottingham, Petersfield, Sherwood, Cambridge, Sheffield, Birmingham, Whittlesey and Coventry.

The openings will mean Wetherspoon will operate a total of 778 pubs across the UK.

JD Wetherspoon chairman Tim Martin said: "We are very pleased to be opening 12 new pubs and creating so many jobs throughout July.

"Our pubs continue to prove popular and it is especially rewarding to be opening outlets in a number of areas where we are not yet represented."
