Firmdale reveals more about new hotel in Soho
Boutique hotel operator Firmdale Hotels has unveiled more details of its forthcoming property in London's Soho.
The company is turning an undeveloped site situated at Ham Yard between Great Windmill Street and Denman Street into a luxury £90m hotel.
When completed the new hotel will comprise 90 deluxe bedrooms and suites, restaurant, bar, 120 seat state-of-the-art cinema, private event rooms, eight retail units and several private apartments.
Firmdale is owned by husband and wife team Tim and Kit Kemp. The couple is funding the Ham Yard project having raised £56m from a sale and leaseback of two of their six London hotels, the Knightsbridge hotel and Number 16 in Kensington.
Kemp said that the new hotel would become the group's flagship, adding that it would be "slightly different in style" to the group's nearby Soho Hotel.
