Talkington Bates announces new contracts totalling £7.7m
Independent contract caterer Talkington Bates has announced contract wins and extensions totalling £7.7m, including brand new business with engineering consultant Halcrow.
The Oxfordshire caterer won a five-year deal to provide services to Halcrow in London's Hammersmith ahead of rival firms Harrisons and Charlton House. With a total turnover of £2.5m expected, the new facility is being outsourced for the first time.
Paul Bates, joint managing director, said: "Our philosophy of providing an innovative, high quality service to each and every client is a winning formula, and this new contract is a testament to that."
The project director for Halcrow's new headquarters added: "The quality of the bids from the three companies shortlisted was high. In the end, we felt that Talkington Bates had the right combination of quality of food and appeal for our employees, with good synergies with our company in its business approach."
In addition, Talkington Bates has been awarded a new contract with Thermo Fisher Scientific in Dartford, while it has retained business at the Royal Veterinary Colleges in Camden and Hawkshead, Hertfordshire for a further five years, and Connect Plus in Dartford for a further two years, totalling £5.2m.
