Purity sees sales rise 53%
Warwickshire brewer Purity has seen its turnover increase by 53% to to over £2m, while net profit is up by 50%.
The brewery now produces at maximum capacity every week, with nine brews producing 180 brewers' barrels (2.7 million pints per year).
The company has also lodged a planning application to develop a new brewery capable of producing 400 brewers' barrels per week.
Purity now counts over 500 pubs among its customers and said it would invest in more delivery vehicles and deliver in a wider radius.
Managing director Paul Halsey said: "We have made great headway with the 20-40 age group as well as female drinkers. We have found more customers are demanding premium quality beers in pubs and making more educated product decisions in the on and off trade."
"In 2011 Purity plans to focus on further supporting local music events as well as developing the food and beer matching concept."
"Our food and beer matching event at Simpsons Michelin-starred restaurant in Birmingham this October sold out within a week, proving a demand for these types of events and beer menus in restaurants. We intend to cater for that demand in 2011."
