Crown Group's Seasoned Events donates 2,000 Christmas meals to Crisis
The Crown Group‘s Seasoned Events business has donated 2,000 Christmas lunches to Crisis, the national charity for single homeless people as part of a fundraising campaign at the Royal Courts of Justice.
The campaign sees Seasoned Events donate £1 for every guest that attends a corporate Christmas party at the flagship venue, and the caterer expects to raise more cash to pay help for Christmas lunches at one of the nine Crisis centres that will be open during the Christmas period.
Colin Sayers, managing director for Seasoned Events, said: "We are really pleased to have raised so much already. We hope to give as much as we can for a very worthy cause during what can be an incredibly tough time for London's vulnerable homeless people.
"This isn't just about raising money but also about raising awareness of the good work that the team at Crisis do every Christmas."
Leslie Morphy, chief executive for Crisis, added: "Serving over 28,000 meals throughout Christmas week is a huge challenge. Seasoned Events' generous donation will help put hot meals on the table for many homeless and vulnerably housed people this Christmas and in turn help our guests to leave homelessness behind for good."
Seasoned Events became the first sole caterer at the Royal Courts of Justice in April in a deal worth £1.5m a year. It had been run on an accredited caterer list basis for the previous two years.
